Modification, Thurs. August 28: TAMUK is gradually changing over its network management system. Tuesday afternoon, without advance notice, it was the physics building's turn to be switched. This turned out to have the side effect of disconnecting the department's server, which hosts all my webpages, until Thursday morning.
Accordingly, the due date for the self-introductions assignment below is pushed back from today (Thursday) at 5 to Monday at 5. That gives you not only another class day to make up for what was missed but also an entire holiday weekend if you need it. There is no regular class on Labor Day.
At present most of the pages linked to this coursee were created during a previous time this course was offered, and return links may take you to that course's pages rather than this page. In the near future I will be attempting to correct this, making the links such that they can readily accommodate regular expansion.
