The department hosts an
observatory on top of Hill Hall that contains a 16-inch reflecting
telescope. The telescope can be used in either Newtonian or Schmidt-Cassegrain
mode. It includes a CCD camera, computerized directional control, a
photometer, and a spectrometer. Originally designed The department offers Public Viewing Events approximately monthly throughout the regular academic year. Check in the Upcoming Events section for the dates for this semester. Additionally, special tours can be arranged up for special groups.
