MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission as a club shall be to give all students interested in earth science and related sciences an opportunity to increase their knowledge and enjoyment of these subjects, and to promote a greater appreciation of these subjects within the college community. The Geology Club is an organization within the Department of Geosciences which functions to promote social activities among students, foster student faculty interaction, and promote the Department. The club sponsors field trips, lectures, guest speakers, provide funding for students to attend professional conferences, conventions and meetings only if funds are available. These events provide students with opportunities to network with top professionals and keep up with the latest changes in their field. Students and hobbyists in other disciplines are also welcome to become members.
